Hypnotherapy Helps Cancer Patients Through Symptoms and Pain

in a recent study on the use of Hypnotherapy for Children's Cancer patients by the University of Wales in Swansea, was that patients reported less pain from cancer and related treatments have when hypnotized.

University research has shown hypnotherapy points that can extend the life of cancer patients according to Dr. Christina Liossi who spoke to BBC News.

"In one study, 80 children were placed in four groups: two experimental groups treated with drugs and hypnosis.
Two control groups were given the drug.

"All [40] of children who use hypnosis with a local anesthetic felt much less pain than children who received only local anesthesia," said Dr. Liossi.

The children, aged six to 16, placed under hypnosis by experts and then taught to hypnotize themselves before they undergo the procedure.

Children who were not treated with hypnosis pronounced and even supported.
"We have asked children to rate their pain from 0 to 5 on a graduated scale. Before we perform hypnosis we ask them to rate their pain on this scale," explained Dr Liossi.

"Then we introduce hypnosis and then we asked them again to assess pain and they report much less."

This suggests that when put under a magnifying glass with Hypnotherapy is a laboratory test to show the actual changes in the brain [1]. This suggests that when placed under hypnosis that the changes in the left frontal cortex of the brain and the cingulated gyrus as seen on MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scanner.

"The frontal lobe is in our plans, our future actions, our analysis here and now, our critical evaluation and the things we do, so we do not make stupid mistakes. If you think about what hypnosis does, ask him to to go with the flow and do not critically analyze what you are doing "word. Dr John Gruzelier of Imperial College, London

Swansea University study also found that adult cancer patients with fewer symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and pain, according to Dr. Liossi ago.

It is very encouraging, as hypnotherapy has tremendous potential!
